Clinton Westley Womack
April 1, 1920 – July 16, 2013
Clinton passed peacefully into the night at home surrounded by his loving family on July 16. A life-long resident of Olympia, he was born to Pearl Lybarger and Doctor Womack in 1920. He graduated from Olympia High School in 1939, then worked in Alaska before joining the Navy in 1944. He served as a Motor Mac on PT 127 until the end of World War II. He married Lee Parshall in 1946. They lived in the Sunset Beach area, in Ketchikan and Fairbanks, Alaska, prior to moving to the Boston Harbor area where they have lived since 1956. Clint worked as a logger and did road and runway construction throughout the states of Washington and Alaska. He won numerous awards for paving while working for J.D. Shotwell and Associated Sand and Gravel. He was a 65-year member of Operating Engineers, Local 302. He is survived by his loving wife, Lee; two sisters, Arleta Kerstetter, Olympia, and Kay Henkel, Palm Springs, California; his children, Lynda Eich, Olympia; Terry (Cindy) Womack, Pendleton, Oregon; and Kay (Stephen)Peterson, Cascade, Montana; his grandchildren, Jacque (Timm) Hudlow, Karen Preston-Cornelissen (Tom), Clint (Stephanie) Eich, Sam (Cynthia) Womack, Terah (Adam) Brice, Michael (Fatima) Saunders, and Matthew Chimenti; and 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial celebration will be held at North Olympia Fire Hall at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2013 with a reception to follow. Parents are God's first gifts to us, and God knew exactly what we needed. My prayers are raised for my friend who has lost this great gift. I know she loved and appreciated it just as God hoped she would.

He was such a good man, he will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to Clint, Lee, Terry, Lynda, Kay and all the spouses and children. Bless you all.
