

Born on October 12, 1938, Clyde lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, a wandering spirit and a deep commitment to those he loved. Throughout his years, he touched countless lives with his kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to family.
Clyde found joy in life’s simple pleasures and took pride in the relationships he built over the years. He spent most of his younger years enjoying the sunshine in the Arizona desert, swimming and lifeguarding. He always had a true passion for the sun after being born in Phoenix, Arizona. He joined the Navy 1956, then he spent 25+ years working as a surveying engineer, traveling to many different places to work along the west coast in Washington, California and Arizona, where ever he was needed. After settling in Rochester he spent many years working and hanging out at the Speedway. Whether spending time with loved ones, helping a neighbor, sharing stories, or pursuing his favorite interests such singing and playing the guitar, hunting, fishing or bartering while searching for his next treasure. He left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Virginia Ann McGuire, daughters-Tammy McFaul (Bill), Lorrie McGuire (Rusty), Sherrie Zurfluh (Bryan), Carrie Pichler (John), grand children-Mandy, Michael, Aaron, Sarah, Jordan, Cooper, Lucas, Marcus, Matthew, great-grandchildren- Jason, Christian, Teagan, Tiana, Harper, Rhett, Rowyn,Hudsyn, Cannon, Zane many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Vernon McGuire and Thelma Elizabeth Johnson and his siblings, Wanda, Gladys, Leotta, Ben.
Though Clyde’s passing leaves a profound void, his legacy of love, integrity, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A graveside service will be held at Grand Mound Cemetery on July 11th, 2026 at 10:00 am, afterward a memorial brunch in “Red’s” honor at the Pichler residence. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honor of a life well lived.
The family extends its sincere gratitude to all who provided care, support, and friendship to Clyde throughout his life.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
