Dixie, "Friend Always and Forever" 
  Our friendship began in elementary school in Lynden WA and continued with letters, phone calls and a wintertime overnight visit in North Dakota.
In recent years, we enjoyed our visits together in Olympia.
  With our many interests, she always shared her helpful ideas with me. Dixie was the very best in whatever she accomplished. She was a beautiful lady, wonderful dedicated homemaker, wife, mother and sister.  
  Our last phone call was on Friday afternoon on the 15th of January which ended as always "Take care, I love you." 
  I will miss her and have her beautiful memories in my heart.

We are very sadden of the passing of Aunt Dix, I'm so thankful that I got to talked to her a few days before she left us. We will miss her terribly and our thoughts and prays go out to you and your family.....

Uncle Al, Keith, & Kim,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Auntie Dix. I hadn't seen her in a while, but I thought about her often. I know that right now words are nice to hear, but will never take away the pain and for that I am sorry as well. I will always remember that when she would write mom a letter as we were growing up we would get a stick of gum, be it Juicy Fruit or Big Red with our name on it. Then there are the memories of when Uncle Al, Auntie Dix and Aunt Thela would come up in the van and we would have homemade ice cream. Lots of great memories and they will stay alive in my thoughts and heart always. May you find comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and having a great family reunion in Heaven. Much love!
