On May 10, 2020 Dallis Unwin passed away from congestive heart failure. His children were at his bedside when he peacefully took his last breath. Dallis was born in Centralia Washington on October 25, 1926. He called Bucoda, Washington his home for most of his life.
As World War II broke out, he joined the Navy and was stationed in the South Pacific. Upon returning Dallis served as the fire chief of the local fire department in Bucoda and later became the mayor. Dallis also worked in private land development and as a real estate agent.
Dallis was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann (Pat) Unwin. He is survived by his daughter Susan Beitenstein, son Marty Unwin, Marty‘s wife Judy and his brothers Ellsworth (Nat) Unwin and Bill Unwin. He will be missed by his family that also includes his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Due to the current health concerns related to COVID-19 there will be a private graveside ceremony for Dallis. He will be placed next to his loving wife at the Mills & Mills Memorial in Tumwater Washington.
