He married Phyllis Joan Maes on July 26, 1964, whom preceded him in death on March 24, 2005. They established their family home in Olympia where they raised a family of 8 children. He was blessed with 25 grandchildren, 34 Great grandchildren, and 4 Great Great grandchildren.
He enjoyed sailing, volunteering for the Olympia Search and Rescue, and spending time out at Nisqually Reservation...his 2nd home.
He loved to laugh, and make you laugh. He had a quick and witty sense of humor. He went onto his next journey on October 11, 2023 at 8:30pm, surrounded by his family, friends, and angels in his family home. He will be greatly miss by everyone that knew & loved him.
