Donald Keith Paul

Donald, son of Arnold and Florence (Stoner) was born on January 4, 1930 in Stratford. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1948. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and was stationed in Germany. He worked at the Stratford Grain and Supply Cooperative for several years. On September 4, 1960 he married Karen Rae Anderson, daughter of Ernest and Roberta (Wilson). He then went to work for the Ames School District in the maintenance department until he retired in 1990.

He will always be remembered as a devoted father and grandfather. He never passed up a chance for a hug and had a wry sense of humor that he used to make people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jerry and Richard; his sister, Betty; his wife and his daughter, Brenda.

Donald is survived by his daughters; Nanette, Tammi (Johnson) and her husband Jerry, and Michelle (Tobin) and her husband David; son-in-law, Jim Engstrom; grandchildren Austin and Heidi Engstrom, Christopher Johnson, Karyn and Gregory Tobin; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in late August at Oakwood Cemetery.
