I only just recently found out of Donnas passing. I had lost contact with her and was sad to hear of her passing. I took some painting classes from her. She was a great teacher and a great person. It took me about 4 months to get a great painting done under her guidance...I got it done and it is my favorite. I couldn't have done it with out her...She pushed me and gave me  the confidence to continue my art..... I am fortunate to have a copy of my favorite paintings of hers of a couple draft horses... Miss you my friend....Judy Gorrell  

I came to know Donna several years ago when she helped me finish a painting that I wanted to give to my daughter in law. I was stuck on one part of the flowers. She graciously took me under her wing and under her tutelage I was able to complete the picture. I saw many of her beautiful paintings in person and she had an amazing gift. She shared that gift with others as at the time she was also helping a young man who was a youth pastor at the church she attended. My mother has a print of a picture she painted of the nativity which she cherishes. Just that small glimpse into her life told me that she was a caring loving wife and mother She will be missed here but her memory lives on in many ways but in particular the lovely pictures she painted and shared with the world. I hope the family takes comfort in knowing that she touched many lives in a very profound way. Judy NIelsen
