She grew up in the family home on Capitol Way and attended Olympia Schools, graduating from Olympia High School. She was employed for many years at Miller's Department Store until it closed, and then at Lamont's until her retirement.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brothers, Fred and Vern; and sisters, Gladys, Midge, Ruby, Chris and Peggy.
She is survived by many nephews and nieces who loved her dearly. Doris was a lifelong member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 11:00 a.m., at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1515 Harrison Ave. NW, Olympia, WA 98502.
