

Douglas Harold Beach, age 92, of Olympia, passed away peacefully on January 10th. His children and grandchildren were present with him in the last few days. He was born in Seattle, Washington on December 8th, 1931, to Harold Campbell Beach and Betty Bell Beach.
Doug graduated in 1950 from Lincoln High School in Seattle, BA at University of Washington in Education and a Masters at the University of Southern California. Doug worked in Education for the Olympia School District as a teacher at Washington Junior High School, a counselor at Olympia High School, Vice Principal & Principal at Reeves Junior High School. He served as President on the Black Hills Principal Association and on the Board of Washington State Middle School Principals. He also volunteered as A.A.R.P. Assist. Dist. Coordinator Tax Aide.
He met the love of his life, Sue Ann Klink, at Fremont Baptist Church. They were married on March 1, 1952, and shared 68 years in a loving marriage.
Doug leaves behind a large, loving family his brother Danny (Roberta), children Doug Jr (Barb), Janice (Steve), Bob (Kim), Kathy (Bruce), and Debbie (Dan); ten (10) grandchildren David, Daniel, Jared, Heather, Patrick, Natalie, Heidi, Sarah, Jessica, and Rebecca; and thirteen (13) great grandchildren Maverick, Baylee, Olivia, Maeve, Calum, Theo, Hunter, Teagan, Winston, Maliah, Llewyn, Declan, Laila, and 3 more precious souls soon to be born.
