To the Petersen family: deepest sympathy to you. I remember your family as I grew up in Audubon. I was the flower girl and Bobby was the ring bearer in my cousins wedding...back in probably 1967 or so.

Fumiko, Bobby, Barbara and families: Our condolences to your family on the loss of your husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather. Duane and Fumiko were so good to me while we were all on staff at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. (You can't beat Fumiko's egg rolls :)) They continued to stop and see us when they would visit Audubon after moving to WA. which was always a blessing to catch up on each other's families and lives. Yearly Christmas cards were exchanged and new year's wishes given each year. Duane will be missed but he had a full life---with love for his family and friends. Cherish the memories and the good times. God bless each of you with his comfort, peace, grace and love. Thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

I remember working for Duane and coming over to the house and hanging out with Bobby eating and working in the shop on things. I really liked Duane’s tough marine demeanor as I worked for him. He was tough but had compassion and caring manner. Many found memories remain with me about this great man!
