My introduction to Edith was in 1959 when I became an employee of the Department of Printing. Edith was wonderful person with a quick smile and a great sense of humor. She had all the attributes to attain her status as an excellent employee. The employees within the Department truly admired her ability to respect and consider their special needs when called upon. Of course, it may have helped that she was responsible to calculate and write each person's weekly pay check, as well as maintain their entire benefit package.
