Edna R. Dietz passed away on Monday, November 18th, 2019, at Woodland Assisted Living in Lacey. She was born in Hanston, Kansas on November 9th, 1921 to Peter and Mary Yaeger, one of eight children. She married Leo Diet on December 10th, 1939 in Alexander, Kansas. Edna was a great helper on the farm until the family moved to Olympia in 1954. She attended Dietz Business College and then worked for the state for 20+ years. After retiring, Edna and Leo enjoyed travelling. She also enjoyed music, dancing, baking and art. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Edna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1954. She is survived by Nancy Dietz of Kent, Washington and Janice (Larry) Medlin of Springhill, Kansas. She was preceded in death by husband Leo Dietz and son Roger Dietz. She had 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday November 26th at Trinity Lutheran Church, 21st Avenue & Franklin Street, Olympia. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10am. Burial following at Mills & Mills Memorial Park in Tumwater, with reception following burial at Trinity Lutheran. Family suggests memorials to the church.
