Edna (Johnson) Stevens passed away peacefully, in her home, on February 19, 2021 surrounded by her family. She lived in her home of 76 years until the end.
She was born in Colgate, MT in 1919 to Carl and Martha Johnson, and was the eldest of their 3 children. She always looked out for her sisters Agnes and Anna May, and spent many hours visiting with them either by phone or in person.
Edna graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1937, and began working at the Rainier Hotel Diner and part-time switchboard operator for the Tenino phone system. While working at the diner, she met the love of her life Robert who worked at the service station across the street and came in for lunch every day. They were married on Dec 21, 1939, and with the exception of his military service during WW2, were inseparable until his passing. They purchased their home in Olympia in 1944, where they raised their 2 daughters Judy and Jan.
Edna lived a full life of 101 years, having the joys of gardening and spending time with all of her friends and family to fill her life.
Survivors include her daughters Judy (Stevens) Flahaut and Janette (Stevens) Clark, 3 grandchildren; Kelly Wallace, Kim (Rich) Olson, and Todd (Brandy) Flahaut. 4 great grandchildren; Miranda Olson, Adam Olson, Rylee Flahaut, and Camden Flahaut. And 1 great great grandchild River Olson. She is also survived by her beloved sister Agnes Middleton.
