
Ed was born the oldest of three children to Eddie and Lilian Sayed on February 27, 1944 in San Francisco, CA.
Ed graduated from St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco in 1962. After high school he briefly attended the University of San Francisco until he was drafted to serve his country in the United States Army. He served until he was honorably discharged in 1967.
Throughout his life Ed worked in the radio and TV broadcasting arenas as well as the banking and financial industry.
Ed is survived by his former spouse, Suzanne (Hughes) Garrington, the mother of his children and Caregiver later in his life; his son, Edward Anthony, III, daughter-in-law Michele and grand daughters Madeline and Georgia; his daughter, Jennifer Nichols and son-in-law William and grand daughters Kailee and Ciara; his brother Ron and nephew Zachary; his brother Gary and sister-in-law Lisa and nephews Harrison and Hunter; and his close friend and partner, Sherry Stagnaro.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father and sister-in-law Tanya (Ron) Sayed.
Our family would like to thank Blessed Jones Adult Family Home who loving cared for Ed as “one of their family” and kept him comfortable until his passing.
Ed is no longer in pain and for that we are relieved. Until we meet again Good Sir! And may the San Francisco Forty Niners win every game in your eyes up in Heaven. We love you and will miss you dearly.
At Ed’s request, no private services will be held. A Celebration of Life is being planned this summer in Washington State.
