Elsia was born on July 08, 1918 to Emory C. and Norelia Knox Furnish. On November 28, 1946 she married Elmer Burkholder Jr. who preceded her in death.
Elsia was one of seven children; a brother, William C. Furnish of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; five sisters, Ila Dorothy Furnish Lentz of Michigan, Betty Jane Furnish Fleishans of Ohio and Michigan, Edith M. Dyer and Edna M. Dyer, both of Alger, and Dorothy Jean Bailey of Mission, Texas.
Elsia was preceded in death by all of her siblings.
She lived a long enjoyable life right to the very end. She took a lot of pride in her crafts from card making to doing holiday projects. She enjoyed baking and was famous for the million dollar fudge she would make. Elsia was very giving of her time from volunteering for the forest service in her younger days to spending time preparing craft projects for children's museum in her final days. Besides craft work Elsia loved to read, reminicing about all of her travels and experiences, and sharing all of her wisdom.
Elsia will be missed by all that loved her dearly. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain. To walk with us through out our lives, until we meet again.
