Elsie May White

Elsie was born on May 21, 1924 in Chisholm, Minnesota. Elsie attended the Chisholm schools, graduated from Hibbing Junior College, and attended the University of Minnesota. She met her husband of 64 years in Minneapolis, and they moved to Plentywood, Montana, where they raised their children, and she was a nurse for many years at the local hospital. In 1968 her family moved to Olympia, Washington, where she was a nurse at St. Peter’s Hospital for 15 years before retiring. Elsie loved to bowl, swim, play cards, travel, visit her family, and take part in community and church activities. She was a long time member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Olympia, Washington.

Survivors include her husband Ardell White (Olympia, Washington), her son, Daryl White (Shelton, Washington), and her daughter, LeAnn Benn (Olympia, Washington), She is preceded in death by her baby son Dwight (Plentywood, Montana), and her daughter Sherry Rawson (Olympia, Washington). Elsie has 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday May 17th at 1:30pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. 1515 Harrison Ave NW, Olympia, Washington 98502
