Gail Patrick Emerick was born in Yakima, Washington on March 17, 1940 to Stanley and Colletta Emerick. He was raised in Seattle Washington and Long Beach California. Gail joined the navy right after high school and was stationed in Hawaii.
After 33 years of working for Safeway, mostly in management, he retired to Washington, where lived for 30 years.
In 1993 he was confirmed as a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
He loved model trains and he had a large lay-out in his den which he worked on during the long winter evenings. He enjoyed riding his horse and spent many hours trail riding.
Gardening was a favorite summer pastime and he planted many beautiful flower beds.
He is survived by his wife Karen, sons Shawn (Laura), Michael Patrick (Becky) and daughter Kristina, stepsons Harvey Berry and William Berry (Andrea) and stepdaughters Stacy Berry, Susan Burton (Richard) and Shelley Kane (Jesse), sisters Cathy Morris (Jack), Irene Sparks and brother Jim Emerick (Carmen)
The family also includes 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grand child.
Gail's Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 11:30am.
