Eldon was the consummate professional local government manager with an engaging personality.  He loved the City of Olympia and having followed him as city manager I benefited greatly from his accomplishments and the foundation he laid.

I was lucky enough to meet Eldon when I lived in Olympia. He was a wonderful man and very kind and supportive to me. I am immensely saddened to hear of his passing. Every time I'm in town and drive past his trail, I've thought of him. My deepest condolences to his family.

I only knew him for a few years before I moved out of Olympia, but he was a kind and caring man who loved the city of Olympia and it's future. I knew him when I met him while working at House of Cameras in downtown Olympia. He was always so full of energy and kindness.
