Staff Sergeant Jacob Gossett proudly served in the US Army Special Forces, deploying multiple times and demonstrating unwavering dedication and bravery. His service to his country was a testament to his strength and commitment for 16 years. Among Jacob’s numerous decorations was the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
Jacob had a passion for the simple joys in life. He loved fishing, golf, comedies, and camping. He was known for his great sense of humor, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. Jacob was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to cheering on the Washington State University teams.
He is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Elizabeth Gossett; his devoted wife, Diana Gossett; his cherished children, son Michael and daughters Madison and Mackenzie; and his beloved sisters, Heather (Dustin) Dauphin, their children Sage and Sierra; Samantha (Joe) Reed, their children Valarie and Sydney; and Jenna (Augustine) Williams, their children Kobe and Gwyneth. He also left behind many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
