

James was predeceased in death by his wife, Ann of 66 years, two granddaughters, one great-grandson, his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
James is lovingly remembered by his three daughters and one son, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
James served as a corporal in the Army where he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone during the Korean War. He then worked as a carpenter in private industry before going to work for the State of Washington. While working in the carpenter shop, he built beautiful furniture for the Governor's mansion until he retired. After retirement he became a self taught computer whiz.
James was a member of the Salvation Army Church where he was known for his homemade coconut macaroons.
James hobbies included involvement in the citizens band (CB) radio club and informal computer club. He was also a big fan of the Mariners and Sea Hawks.
A celebration of James life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Salvation Army Church of Olympia.
