James was born on December 2, 1927 in Chehalis, WA. James served in the Army as a Fire Fighter, he was honorably discharged in 1947. He worked in the Timber industry most of his life until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. In his later years he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
James was preceded in death by his parents and two stepchildren, Tracey and Peter Jenson, as well as Larry McNamara.
James is survived by his longtime companion, Lulu May Jenson, by his children Jim Beaver, Joe Beaver, Linda Beaver, Robert Beaver, George Beaver, and John Beaver, his stepchildren, Rick Jensen, Penny Jenson, Jenny Erlanger, Sue McNamara, Sharon Leaming, Sandy Stewart, Becky Florence, Gary McNamara and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
