Jason is survived by his mother, Janice of Tumwater; brother Darin of Olympia; his father Anthony of Olympia; half-brothers, Tony (Anna), Dino (Chrissy) of Olympia; half sister Gina Travis of Boise, niece Raechelle Pidone of Olympia, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was raised in Lacey and went through the North Thurston Public School system. He graduated from North Thurston High School in 1994. He attended UTI in Phoenix where he studied drafting. After graduation, Jason moved to Breckenridge, CO where he worked for Grunson Architects for 8 years.
Jason had a love for adventure. he spent time with a friend backpacking in Europe for months on end., more than once. he enjoyed the outdoors and would often spend time spontaneously hiking or camping. And always, his well-loved Australian Sheppard, Alex was at his side.
His first love was to work with animals-especially dogs. He volunteered countless hours to the Thurston County Animal Services and most recently worked at Country Inn Pet Resort & Spa in McCleary. It was a frequent happening to see Jason driving down the road with his car packed full of dogs for a day at the dog park.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Thurston County Animal Services, 3120 Martin Way East Olympia, WA 98506 or (360) 352-2510, in his remembrance.
Jason left us too soon. We know that he is at peace and happy, joining those who left before him. He was an amazing son and friend. He will be forever missed.
