

She worked for the Department of Personnel for nearly 47 years, a span she was proud of before retiring. She also found joy in working for Cascade Tax Service in retirement. She always found value and reward in keeping busy.
Through the years she loved bowling in the local women's league, gardening at her home and frequenting the local casinos with her husband Bob. She also loved playing bingo at Olympics West where she had been a resident for the last 14 years. Even though she was relegated to a wheelchair she still participated in all the activities available to her. Whether it be a country ride, trip to the casino or going out to lunch.
She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much and would talk about them whenever given the opportunity.
She is survived by her daughter Shelly Watson; son Robert Darin (Michelle); grandchildren Jacob and Benjamin Darin, Abbie Jardine, Ian Watson, Shawn Jones, Curtis Paulsen, and Codey Paulsen in addition to 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Gary (Suki) Kangas, James Kangas and sister Diana Hall, sister-in-law Beverly Braese and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Darin, son Kevin Darin and her parents Martin and Ruth Kangas.
