

John Richard Bellamy went home to his Lord and Savior on August 4, 2026, at the age of 78. He passed peacefully in his sleep. Born September 17, 1947, to John and Lucille Bellamy in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, he was the third of four children. John was a member of Westside Presbyterian Church and cherished his faith.
John enjoyed spending time with people and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a kind and generous spirit and found joy in the simple things in life. He also enjoyed activities at his local Senior Center, especially dances and bingo, where he could spend time with others and enjoy good company.
John loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, which brought him countless hours of enjoyment and adventure. He enjoyed fishing throughout his life and seemed to have a special knack for catching fish. When others were struggling to get a bite, John was often the one who had the most success. He was always happy to share his ideas and tips to help others have better luck.
John also had a love for music. He played guitar and would sometimes sing. Another talent he had was drawing, including portraits of people. One of John's favorite hobbies was going to garage sales. He enjoyed searching for interesting finds and discovering something special among the many treasures.
After graduating from Montesano High School in Washington, John moved to Seattle, where he spent the remainder of his life in the Seattle area. He worked at several different jobs throughout the years, including at Bar-S Meats, and eventually spent many years working in glass replacement. He took pride in being an auto glass installer and always made sure his work was done well. John also spent countless hours fixing lawnmowers for neighborhood friends. He was always determined to find a way to locate the right part and get the mower working again.
John was married to Linda Seymour, and they later divorced. Together they had one son, Nathan Bellamy. John is survived by his son, Nathan Bellamy; grandsons, D’Andre, Devon, and Nico; sisters, Barbara Turpin and Sherma Ramsey; and brother, Robert (Myrna) Bellamy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Dean Turpin; and brother-in-law, Bill Ramsey.
