Joseph attended life skills at both Olympia and Capital High Schools and graduated from Capital in 2019.
Joseph was non-verbal, but very expressive with his face and body language, so it was usually easy to pick up on his likes and dislikes. Some of his favorite things were hanging out with family, cuddling on the couch and watching superhero movies, or watching crafting. Joseph also loved to look at pretty things shining in the window or the birds outside.
Joseph loved the outdoors but was very particular about conditions. Not too cold, not too hot. Also, not too bright or windy!! Under the big green trees was a great treat for him, especially if music was involved.
Joseph has always been loved dearly by his family and those who knew him well (humans and pets alike) and is greatly missed. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death on July 20, 2025.
Joseph’s Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 27 at 11 am at the Rainier Vista Park.
