You and I have been very close.  I will always remember when I got married and you expected us to stay the night at your house so you made up the bed after covering the sheets with shaving cream.  We snuck out the window and went back to Tacoma.  You called and told me what you did and we laughed 😂😂 so hard.  I love you and miss you.  I think of you often.  God has you now and keeping you safe.

So hard to believe.  Karen would give the shirt off her back to help another. Imagine a world just filled with Karens. She was also quite an artist. I still have one of her paintings.

Karen was the sweetest and most loved of all at Gerties. Her smile would light up your heart. She never had an unkind word to say, but sat quietly at the end of the bar, doing her crossword puzzle, reading the comics and sharing a particularly funny one that might 'tickle' her. She might appear to sit quietly, but believe me, Karen knew everything that was going on! How I will miss taking some minutes of my day to sit beside her and chat and laugh - I counted on her being there. She was a Gerties Girl thru and thru - and part of Gertie's family. It won't be quite the same without her but we are left with Karen memories to last a lifetime. Our  hearts will always carry a Karen smile when we most need to be tickled.  Sue

I am at a lose for words. To sit here and read these I have to remember that you have been taken away. I am having a had time adjusting to this. You have always been there, it was a given. Mommy is always there. Then I think to myself it's ok. She has raised us to the best of her ability now she had to go and be with Donald (bubba). As hard as it is to accept, she is on another journey and we will all meet up soon. Together always! Love and miss you dearly!
