She was born in Puerto Rico on Ramey Air Force Base, the daughter of the late Richard Eugene VanDeLaare and Lynn Carole Springer of Spokane, Washington and Kalamazoo, Michigan.
She is survived by her daughter Ashley, son-in-law Christopher, two grandchildren, three sisters, four nephews, and two nieces. From the moment she was born into this world she let it be known that she was a force of a woman. To describe her life in a few sentences would never be possible. Those of us who knew her and loved her have many memories of her that we will cherish forever. Her presence and spirit in this world will be greatly missed. Who she was will not be lost. She will live on in everyone she knew, and her impact will not be forgotten.
Per the family’s request, in place of flowers we ask that donations to toys for tots or any other charities that help bring joy to children and families during the holidays be made on her behalf. Thank you.
