Kristi Lynn Beattie

Kristi was born on November 1, 1961, in Bellevue, Washington, to Susan Pucher. She was later joined by her stepfather, Eric Pucher. She grew up with her three siblings Kathy, Kerry, and Kelly, and graduated from Interlake High School in June of 1979. Kristi then graduated from Western Washington University in 1984 with a degree in Education.

She worked teaching home economics and was a drill team coach in Elma; and then later also taught driving safety, and home and family life in Tumwater.

Kristi married Tom Beattie, and they had two children together, Brad and Lindsay. Her biggest accomplishment was becoming a mom and grammy. Kristi’s greatest gift was the love she gave to the people around her. She was a devoted daughter, loving wife, cherished sister, incredible mom, and the most amazing Grammy. Her heart was filled with compassion, kindness, and an endless ability to make those she loved feel special, supported, and cared for.

Kristi loved being a part of Relay for Life and was deeply passionate about supporting the fight against cancer. Her strength, courage, and determination inspired so many, and Team Kristi is the legacy she leaves behind.

In honor of Kristi’s memory, we invite you to continue her mission by supporting Team Kristi and helping carry on her commitment to raising awareness, supporting those affected by cancer, and working toward a future without this disease. Any donation made in her honor will help keep her spirit, compassion, and hope alive.

Kristi is preceded in death by her step father Eric Pucher. She is survived by her husband Tom Beattie; Children Brad Beattie and Lindsay Clark; daughter-in-law Leah Beattie; Grandchildren Krew, Jonathan, Kyah, Kora, and Olivia; Mother Susan Pucher; and Sisters Kathy Miller, Kerry Hastings, and Kelly Shaw.

A Celebration of Life for Kristi will be held on Saturday August 8th at the Olympia Airport Hangar 51 from 2PM to 6PM. A donation in Kristi’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society through the link below.
