LOFGREN, Lena Louise: It is with great sadness that the family of Lena Lofgren announces her passing after a long battle with cancer on August 22, 2025 at the age of 73 years. Lena will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 50 years, Jeff Sprehn, daughter, Sunny Fievez, son, Ian Sprehn, brother, Raymond Lofgren, Jr, and sister, Barbara Cokeley. She leaves behind grandsons Raymond Fievez, Brennan Sprehn and Nolan Sprehn and granddaughter Allison/June Fievez.
Lena was born on November 4, 1951 in Elma, WA and was proud of her Swedish heritage. (Her dad was born in Sweden). And, as “they” say, “How Swede it is”.
Lena will be fondly remembered as a gentle, beautiful, kind and thoughtful caring woman. She was all about making life as fantastic as possible for all of her children and grandchildren. She was an environmentalist and adored all animals. She had a great affinity for dogs (and wolves). She loved birds, hated guns, and believed in Universal Health Care. She loved crafting and making scrapbooks and probably taught Betty Crocker how to cook in a past life.
She received a nursing degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Evergreen State College in Environmental Science. She was a nurse for many years working at family medical clinics in Olympia, Rochester and Centralia and also worked for Portamedic and became a skilled phlebotomist.
