Linda Melvadean Lawton

She was born August 13, 1944, in Yuba City, California. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She was married to her beloved husband, Ronald Gary Lawton, for over 58 years. They adored one another and shared a deep love, rarely spending time apart.

Linda was known for her humor, wit, and hardworking nature. She always took pride in looking nice and proper and was a loving sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed trips to the casino, where she liked to try her luck at the video slot machines.

Linda is survived by her husband, Ronald Gary Lawton; her children, Dane (Christine) Mounts, Darrin Mounts, Devin (Jennifer) Lawton, and Ronni Lawton; her sister, Connie (Gary) Boysen; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Staci Lawton Ward.

The family would like to give special recognition to her granddaughter, Britney Diggs, who stayed by Linda’s side and cared for her through her final days. Linda will be remembered for her love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
