Lynn Dowdell

Lynn Dowdell, 98, of Lacey, WA, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2015. Lynn was born on October 1, 1916 in Puyallup, WA to Brace and Jessie Creed, She grew up in CleElum where she met and married James Dowdell in 1932. They lived, raised their children in Renton and moved to Lacey in 1990. Lynn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and family matriarch. Lynn's life was lived with love and strength; she leaves us a legacy of capability and integrity, She enjoyed many activities in her life, especially loved the out of doors - stream fishing, camping, beach walking and gardening. She was an accomplished homemaker and cook.

Lynn was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, James, and her brother, George. Lynn's memory will live on in her son, Don (Gwen) of Lacey; daughter, Diane Cairns (Robert) of Ollala; grandaughter, Susan Ott (Carl) of Olympia and their children, Aimee and Steve; grandaughter, Sharon Rood (Jeffrey) of Lacey and their children, Jordan and Casey; grandson, Steve (Michelle) of Everett and his children, Karissa and Katrina; great great-grandchildren, Payton and Isaiah; granddaughter, Andrea Christie (Kevin) of Spokane and their children, Caitlin and Ben; and granddaughter, Erin Tucker of Portland.

Graveside services for Lynn will be held August 8, at 2:00 P.M., at Mills & Mills Memorial Park, Tumwater. A reception will follow.
