Marguerite was born February 4, 1925 in Carnation, Washington to Mary Martinetta Vande Wiele and Cyril Vande Wiele. When she was a young child, the family moved to Hinsdale, Montana. She graduated from Hinsdale High School in 1943. On May 28, 1945 she married the love of her life, Eddie Elhardt in Missoula, Montana. She was a Office Support Supervisor with the State of Washington and her favorite hobbies included Pinochle, Bowling, Solitaire and Word Search but her passion in life was her beloved family.
Marguerite will be greatly missed by her loving family including her daughter KayAnn Carlson (Brad); her granddaughters Lisa Ritter, Alyson Crain and Kimberly Anderson, grandson Brian Carlson, great grandchildren Anthony Crain, Chloe Ross Crain and Katie Anderson, as well as her nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends
Marguerite was preceded in death by her loving husband Eddie Elhardt in 1987; her daughter Paulette Greenlee; her father Cyril Vande Wiele; her mother Mary Martinetta Vande Wiele and her sisters Erma, Bertha, Leona and Francine and brother Albert.
A graveside service for Marguerite will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Odd Fellows Memorial Park, 3802 Cleveland Ave SE, Tumwater, Washington. Following the graveside service will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2020 Franklin St SE, Olympia, Washington. A light lunch reception will follow at the church.
