Margaret Mary Feist (85) passed away on June 2, 2021. Born February 8, 1936, to Harvey Claude Bryant and Rose Mary (Juliette) Bryant in Yakima, Washington, she was one of five children. Margaret attended Catholic schools, graduating from St. Joseph’s Academy. She married her high school sweetheart William A. Feist July 16, 1955, and together raised their six children. They moved their family to the Olympia area in 1964, where she remained a resident for 57 years. Margaret’s personality was loving, upbeat and happy. She enjoyed raising her family, camping, gardening, crocheting, watercolor and oil painting, dancing, singing, reading, traveling, and especially serving in her church, Saint Michael Parish. Over the years she participated in eucharistic ministry, Renew small faith groups, RCIA, The Alter Society, St Placid Boosters, and St. Judes Guild. St. Vincent de Paul Society and Pregnancy Aid were also dear to her and our father.
She was employed by WA State, Department of Social and Health Services.
Margaret leaves behind her children Katherine (Pat) Ely, Nancy (Jim) Massaia, Bill (Jeannette) Feist, Tim (Laurie) Feist, Ken Feist, and Teresa (Bob) Covington. There are also 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, her brother Harvey Bryant and sister Norma Braconnier. She is predeceased by her husband Bill, her twin sister Marian Leitch and brother Ronald Bryant.
Margaret’s life was filled with unwavering faith, was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday July 19, 2021, 12:00pm at Saint Michael Catholic Church, 1055 Boundary St SE, Olympia Washington. Interment at Mills & Mills Memorial Park.
