Born July 13, 1939, she was raised in Salzburg, Austria during WWII. She married her husband “Gurney” of 64 years in 1958 while he was stationed in Europe.
She was a devoted military wife and mother. She maintained the household and raised her two daughters Jody and Tammy during Gurney’s many deployments.
Maria called Olympia her home for fifty-five years. Her life was fun and her smile infectious. She enjoyed travelling, dancing, music, and the casinos. She is survived by her husband Gurney Reed, her daughters Virginia Lasinski and Tammy Reed, her sister Helga Lugo, three grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
Services will be held at Mills and Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater March 8, 2022. Visitation at 9:00, Service at 10:00 and Gravesite service at 11:00
