

Born January 4, 1934, in Bremerton Washington, the daughter of the late Marion and Luella Maxum. Marilou was the youngest of two children, brother Bernard (predeceased).
Marilou attended Star of the Sea grade school in Bremerton, and graduated from Holy Rosary High School in Seattle, where she met her husband Tom at a Halloween dance. Marilou attended Seattle University. Once engaged, Marilou went to work to help support Tom while he obtained his degree at Seattle University.
Marilou was an avid hiker, golfer, skier and walker, and a lifetime member of the YMCA, where she attended water aerobics for many years. She enjoyed travel, family gatherings and vacations, camping and hiking all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. She especially enjoyed the family ski vacations at Mt Bachelor, where they enjoyed their Eagle Crest condo with family and friends.
She is survived by her son’s Dan (Peggy); Tommy (predeceased) and his sons with Deborah, Corey, Kyle, Nash; Joe (Celeste), Kevin, Liam, Declan, Bridget; daughter Julie Ann. She will be dearly missed and remain forever in our hearts.
A Catholic Prayer Service will be held at 11am on March 28, 2026, at Mills & Mills Memorial Park, Tumwater. Internment, graveside blessing and reception to follow.
