Marla L. Jordan

Marla was born September 27, 1950 in Spokane, WA to Duane Robert Geer and Helen Louise Wicklund. She lived in many places during her childhood; Spokane, Seattle, Shoreline and grew up mostly on Tumwater Hill. Her parents would later divorce when she was young. She stayed with her Dad who worked in Seattle.

She went to Shorecrest High school in Shoreline where she made life-long friendships who she stayed in touch with throughout the years and even kept up with them until her last days.

She would later move to Olympia where she met David “Charlie” Jordan. They would get married on August 16, 1984 and have one child; a son David Jr.

She remained in the Olympia area and worked as a kitchen manager for the Olympia School District for 20 years, where she gained many friendships and also gained a great love of people. She enjoyed gardening, her pets, and her home.

She is survived by her son; David “Davey” Jordan Jr.

There will be a celebration of life for Marla on December 3rd 2021, at 3pm at Mills & Mills Funeral home & Memorial Park in Tumwater.
