Mary Helen Jensen Leaming

Mary Helen Jensen Leaming was born on January 5, 1926 in Olympia, Washington to parents Peter H. Jensen and Vicie Kingrey Jensen. She passed away peacefully on October 1, 2016 in Olympia, WA with Carl and Beth at her side, at Manor Care of Lacey.

Mary was married to Walter E. Leaming who passed on December 2nd, 2013. She is survived by her children; Vicie M Leaming Clark with husband Edward of Janesville, WI, Carl E. Leaming of Olympia, WA, Diane H. Leaming Roberts of Olympia, WA, and Beth S. Leaming Olson of Olympia, WA, grandchildren; Donnetta R Leaming Ferencik, April Roberts Olsoe, Suzi A Olson, Jesse M Olson, Sarah Huhta, Ryan Huhta, Ron Wisner, Nikki Wisner, Ben Wisner and Great Grandchildren: Jessica Roberts, Jonathan Haskins, Colton Roberts, Ryly Hall, Jason Haskins, Cody Olson, Paisley Yunker. Mary was predeceased by son Dale A. Leaming, passed away in 1950, grandchildren; Judith V. Roberts, passed away in 1995, and Montana O. W. Roberts, passed away in 2006.

MOM, You will be FOREVER LOVE and MISSED

She was an amazing woman. After her fathers death in 1941 she dropped out of High School to help pay bills and put food on the table, helping her mom.

After she married Walter E Leaming, in 1945, she continued to work for a short while, then they started their family.

In the late 50's her grandmother Jensen, fell, and broke her hip. Mom stepped up to care take her Grandma Jensen along with her Uncles Ole and Carl.

She was very helpful over the years w ith 4-H and the Grange.

Everyday she would drive from East Olympia to the farm, cooking and cleaning the farm house. Along with raising her family. She also helped out in the barns, feeding and caring for the calves. This continued until Uncle Carl gave her property and helped her build a new house on the farm.

Later in life she took care of dad, in her loving and caring way.

Things we will always remember about her:

She was Loving and caring to all,

She loved all blood or not….

She was helpful and thoughtful,

She cared about all…
