

Michael Edward Devlin Mike was born in Seattle May 4, 1939 and passed Oct 28, 2017 at age 78. He was adopted at a young age by Tom & Frances Devlin. He grew up in Tacoma, was a Stadium HS graduate, and spent many happy weekends with family in Littlerock.
Mike served in the Army in the 60s as a driver at West Point Academy. He was honored to meet & speak twice with President Kennedy. Mike's main career was at Georgia Pacific Container Plant as a fork lift operator where he retired after 37 years.
He was a lifelong wood whittler. He carved a couple of large bears, totem tikis and a 27-foot totem pole for the Olympia Yacht Club outstation. He was a carving fool, making hundreds of name signs, creatures and things for people the world over.
He lived in Olympia for over 50 yrs and cruised Puget Sound in his boat for over 40. He was a Jack-Of-All-Trades and a Master of None. Mike was friendly, loving and a devoted family oriented man with pen pals worldwide.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jo; siblings Tom Devlin, Doug Devlin, Joan Messenger, Sue Flaig and David Flaig; his children, Suann Grover & Mark Devlin; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Internment is at Mills & Mills.
A Celebration of Life potluck will be held at the Scott Lake Community Center, Sat, Dec 2, 2017, 12-3.
Mike Devlin will be greatly loved, forever and always!
