Phyllis moved to Flint, Michigan and married Richard Saylor. They had four children - Linda Saylor-Bright (Al), Richard Saylor, David Saylor, and Susan Saylor-Cabigting (Sean).
Phyllis was able to experience travel around Europe, Hawaii, and many stateside locations. After their divorce Phyllis made home in Washington state.
Phyllis met and fell in love with Larry LaFontaine, they lived in Olympia for over forty years where she loved to garden, cook and care for her grandchildren. Their home always smelled of fresh baked cookies, and she was known for her yummy recipes for lasagna, goulash, and zucchini relish.
Phyllis was a fun-loving, kind person who enjoyed helping others.
You could find her in Seahawk gear every Sunday and taking a nap during an inning of a Mariners game, “Don’t! I’m still listening to the game”, was often said when we tried to turn the channel.
Oh my GOSH did Phyllis love to dance - and her dreams came true when she joined "Wrinkles of Washington" troop in Olympia and became a "Tapping Granny."
We have stories, and memories to last our lifetimes. We will reflect often and with great love of our mom. We look forward to hearing your memories, don’t forget to share.
