Phyllis was the beloved wife of John Lindsey, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage---which is a lasting testament to their deep bond and enduring partnership. Together John and Phyllis ran a successful business for over 30 years. They raised a family that brought her great joy. She was a devoted mother to Brett, Shari, April and Jon; a cherished grandmother to Jakob, Joshua, Mathew, Ryann, Ty, Taylor, Bailey and Taylor; and a loving great-grandmother to Dean, Sophia, Greyson and Cooper.
Phyllis was born to Edward and Helen Lake and grew up in the Seattle area with her sisters, Joyce and Marilyn. She held their memories close after their passing.
Phyllis had a lifelong passion for tennis and could often be found on the court enjoying the game she loved. She was also often in the stands supporting the sports and activities of her children and grand-children. Her athletic spirit was matched by her generous heart and support to a wide variety of charitable causes. She was known as a loyal friend whose kindness touched many lives. Those who knew her remember her warmth, strength and unwavering love for her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Olympia Golf & Country Club, 3636 Country Club Dr NW in Olympia WA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thurston County Boys & Girls Club.
Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of love and connection that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. May her memory bring comfort, inspiration and peace.
