He is survived by his brother Chet Haines (Martha) and sister Carol Leerkamp (Stan), and nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from North Thurston High School. He briefly attended college before joining the Army. Bob was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his service, Bob worked in the trades finishing his career as a skilled tile setter.
He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and rode and camped his way to Sturgis. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Bob loved his family, friends and Rainy, his faithful service dog.
Funeral services will be held at Mills & Mills Funeral Home and Memorial Park - 5725 Littlerock Road SW, Tumwater 98512 at 10:00 am on Friday, November 19, 2021, followed by a graveside service.
