Sharon Novak was born in Snohomish, Washington to Morris Edward and Margaret Elizabeth Thompson. She joined older siblings, Janice Marie (Nelson) and Richard Bruce. The family moved to Eugene, Oregon, where she attended Saint Francis High School. After moving to Lacey, Washington her senior
year, she graduated from North Thurston High School in 1961.
She worked for the State of Washington upon graduation. Soon after, she met and married James Joseph Novak in 1965. They had three daughters, Tamara Sue Fiedler (Ryan), Teri Lynn Fuller, and Lori Ann Ellis (Sam). She achieved an Associate Degree in Computer Programming from South Puget Sound Community College in 1988. She then embarked on her career, with the State of Washington in the Office of Financial Management, as a Project Manager and retired in 2004.
She loved family and was a caring and inspirational grandmother to Austin James, Callie Ann, Caitlin Elizabeth, and Lauren Claire Fuller, all of Denver Colorado, Preston Michael Fiedler of Olympia, and step grandchildren Zachary Dale and McKenzy Blair Ellis also of Olympia. She lived to watch them play sports, perform music, and spend time with them, especially on holidays. Sharon loved travelling with her husband Jim, around the western US or in Europe.
St. Vincent DePaul Pregnancy Aid was fortunate to have her talent and time as she volunteered for them.
Beautiful mother and precious grandmother, she was a fantastic cook, avid knitter and gardener, and faith-filled shining example for all of her children, Godchildren, and grandchildren.
We will miss her kind, gentle, loving nature.
