Shelley was the youngest of four children. She is survived in death by her mother Pat, sister LauraLee, brother Philip, and sister Kimberley Shoemaker, nieces Lindsay (Matt) Barthelman and Caitlin Shoemaker, and great-nephew Bryce Barthelman. She also leaves behind her housemates Jenny and Marian as well as many dear friends at Placeone, Inc. and in the Olympia community.
Shelley moved to Olympia, WA in the early 1970s. She worked at Morningside Services for many years and at Employment Solutions Plus for a short period of time. She retired in June 2010.
A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held at Mills & Mills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Tumwater, WA on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 1:00 PM.
One of Shelley’s passions was trips to Disneyland. In lieu of flowers, her family would prefer that donations be made in Shelley’s name to Placeone, Inc., 5107 Lacey Blvd SE, Lacey, WA 98503 to benefit a travel fund for other clients.
