He was born to and dearly loved by his parents, David and Holly Gardner, and his siblings including Christian, his wife Jessica, and their son Shae, sister, Katelyn and her son Nehemiah; sister, Kresint, and sister, Hannah and her son Reese. Solo took pride in his role as an uncle, adoring his nephews and referred to as “Unc”.
As a little guy Solomon found joy making friends and family smile, quick witted with physical comedy in the mix. As he grew this continued. Laughing together with others was a trademark of his that connected him to people, a friend to everyone. A little bit of mischief and a whole lot of togetherness were often on the agenda.
Solo worked hard to pursue his dreams with baseball, putting in work behind the scenes and challenging himself to improve with every outing. He was an encourager of others, a spark in the dugout, an all-out athlete, a pleasure for coaches to steer and for teammates to be around.
Solomon Gardner knew Jesus. He was fortunate to appreciate a saving grace and loved others well in light of this grace that he received. Solo knew that all fall short of the glory of God, all get a bad read on the ball from time to time, but that they are loved and nothing can separate them from the love of God.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”John 3:16
We mourn deeply the loss of Solomon and encourage all who knew him to remember the light he reflected in this world. For any interested, a service will be held at 10:00am on January 21st at Emmanuel Bible Fellowship. If you would like to donate or show your support for our family, please visit our memorial website.
