Traci Adderley passed away at home on January 7, 2026 at the age of 64 due to complications caused by ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Beloved by many, Traci had a contagious laugh, compassionate heart, and endless love for her family.
Traci was born on February 13, 1961 in Aberdeen, Washington to William and Beverly Patterson. She grew up in Hoquiam with her two older brothers, Kurt and Gary Patterson, and many close friends, including her high school sweetheart, Vince Adderley. Traci graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1979 and moved to Olympia shortly after.
Traci and Vince were married on August 29, 1981 and raised their three children – Renee, Brianne, and Drew in Tumwater. She was an involved and supportive mother who modeled how to be a good human and encouraged her children to pursue their dreams. She served as a Girl Scout troop leader, volunteered with the PTA and booster clubs, and attended all her kids’ extracurricular activities.
She had a passion for travel and her favorite destination was Italy. She had the opportunity to visit the country on three separate vacations, exploring new regions each time she returned. She also visited France, Greece, Austria and England, enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska, and ventured on several long road trips across the U.S. with family, always in pursuit of a gorgeous and calming view.
Music was a constant and guiding presence throughout Traci’s life, offering comfort and joy in every season. She loved attending concerts and listening to meaningful songs that brought her both solace and celebration.
Traci’s professional career spanned 41 years with Group Health Cooperative and Kaiser Permanente where she held various roles before retiring in 2021. Traci was a dedicated colleague and empathetic patient care representative, treating everyone with dignity and going above and beyond her role to ensure patients were comforted and respected.
Traci was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Kurt. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Vince, daughter Renee (Keoni), daughter Brianne (Harry), son Drew, and grandchildren Kiana, Makai and Kekoa.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the ALS Association Evergreen Chapter – an organization that supported and comforted Traci in the last years of her life.
Details about a celebration of life will be shared soon.
