

Wiley Young Lewis, Jr. (Jay) was born in Joplin, Missouri on February 6, 1946. He was raised on dairy farms in the Mid-west and California. At the age of 17 joined the US Army as a Combat Engineer and served two tours in Vietnam and Korea. After his military service he settled in Washington State and began a career in the concrete business. He drove a concrete truck for 31 years and retired in 1999. He started a concrete finishing business the same year and became very successful. He brought his nephew, Adam, and his great-nephew, Anthony, into the business and they are carrying on his legacy.
Jay lived in Olympia with his wife, Carole, and loved bowling and traveling. His favorite places were the Big Island of Hawaii and Arizona. He was a people person and had many longtime friends. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carole Lewis, step-daughter Karie Nicholas, step-son Clint Pascher, , 2 grandsons, Cole Pascher and Kai Nicholas, 6 brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed beyond belief.
A celebration of his life will take place from 1-5pm on August 20th at 7721 Rainier Rd. SE. In lieu of flowers a donation to Providence St. Peter Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
