My papa was a funny and kind man. He would always be happy to see me and I would always be happy to see him. He loved showing me his car models. I thought it was really cool. I would bring my toy car to his house and we would talk about them and he would tell me the names of the cars. We also watched racing together. He would tell me how they make the cars and how they drive them. He was a very smart man.

He liked playing laser tag with me. He would joke around with me and he would always make me laugh. We would get pizza together then have dessert. We would both get ice cream.

He was super awesome. He knew a lot about things. He would tell me stories of when he worked for the police department. He was super brave as well. When he showed me his police models he built, I wanted to do the same thing he did. My papa would not give up on his dreams. 

He was a very good reader. He would read books about world war ll and then tell me about it. He would read detective books as well. He would also tell me about his detective books.

When he comes down to visit, I would always be super happy to see him. He would always have something funny or cool to say. We would go bowling and miniature golfing (he would always beat me). We would go to the park and play something with a ball. We had lots of fun. It was hard saying goodbye to him. But I will always remember him.

When heard he died, everything went blank. My cousin Jude was with me and we were both trying to comfort each other. But at the same time, I was happy and sad. Knowing that my papa was a strong, kind and loving man, he was not in pain anymore. I knew he had followed his dreams. He would stop until he completed his dreams. He would not give up.

Tim was most proud of his children and grandchildren.   He would talk about them to anyone who would listen and just beamed every time!  The day Shannon asked him to pin her badge when she became a paramedic/firefighter was so special to him. Every BMX  and car race that Ty rode in made Tim's day.  And on the days his three grandsons came to visit, Tim would talk about them for days after.   

Tim wanted to be a police officer from the time he was a little kid. He cherished his time at Olympia Police Department and was so proud to work there..always saying it was the best Department anywhere, and he enjoyed his coworkers and told stories about them and the job for the rest of his life.

I always felt lucky to be married to  a man who loved live music and theater, we enjoyed lots of plays and concerts over the years.  We were also fortunate to be able to make two trips to Europe which Tim loved, especially Italy. Another of his loves was the Oregon coast, where he would often walk for hours. 

He gave his family lots to be gratefule for. We love you,  Tim. You are missed.  



Tim was a cops cop. He was a good man who loved his family and career. I’ll not forget his sense of humor and incredible laugh. Tim’s work ethic was second to none. We were having a crime problem downtown. To give the impression we had more police on duty than we really did, Tim would patrol through downtown with his   assigned patrol car, then stop and remove a hubcap and put his police hat on, then make another pass through downtown- making it appear there was more than one officer patrolling downtown. Well done thy good and faithful servant. ❤️

I have known Tim and Debbie since he joined OPD in 72. He really liked law enforcement and was well-liked by the other officers. I think the thing I remember most about Tim was his sense of humor. He could make anybody laugh.
Tim will be missed by many people and especially by his family.
Ron, Ted and Ed will take good care of you.  Stay out of trouble.😍
