I was a young Airmen Station at Clark Air Base Philippines, I got to meet Bert and his Beautiful Family while Station there, they work at Faith Academy Christian School, I would get a break from the base and go up and Visit them and a family called Berg, I had lost touch with the family over the years, I praise the Lord Jesus we will meet again, 

Our belated condolences to the entire Foskett family.  My name is Sylvia Ann Cervantes-Takahashi my husband Bruce Takahashi worked for Montebello Police Department and knew Bert well during the time Bert served as Chaplain for Montebello PD.  I am a former member of Montebello 1st Baptist and so were my parents Richard and Lucille Cervantes you knew them in the Bereans Sunday School class.  May the Lord Bless your entrie family and keep Berts memory close to you.  My father Richard went home to be with the Lord 3 years ago so Bert has many friends worshipping the Lord alongside with him.  God Bless you all!

Dear Peggy and Family,
  How well I remember Bert coming out of the High School counselor's office into the heat of the day at Faith Academy. If he was suffering from a cold, Bert would have a heavy sweater draped over his back with the sleeves hanging off his shoulders. But even if under the weather, Bert was always one to give us cheer and a kind word. We know you will miss him greatly.

We are so thankful for Bert and his work in the Philippines. We  lived in the southern Philippines and did not get to know them well, but remember their work at Faith Academy and service to the Lord in making it what it is today.

Our enduring thanks to Bert and Peggy for providing a home for our girls during their time at Faith Academy. Since the big sisters had returned to the States, our girls Alex and Lois came in as little sisters, supposedly a civilising influence on the boys. It was a wonderful household.

I have many good memories of the Fosketts from our time together in the Philippines, from softball games, helping hands with our children (including pulling a first tooth for one :), a special birthday party for Bert.  When Chris and I took on new roles in Nairobi, we often referred to ourselves as being like Bert and Peggy.  I wonder if Chris and Bert will be 'talking baseball' in heaven.  The following is not original with me, but was very meaningful when it was shared with me, and I hope it is for you as well.

My good friend Bert was such a great help to me during my early years at Faith Academy. Best memory was our trip to Taichung for a CERCOS conference at Morrison Academy. Another good memory - intramural softball! As a guidance counselor, and later with his wife Peggy, they helped many MK's make good decisions and walk a path pleasing to the Lord. I am grateful the Lord allowed me the great privilege to know Bert and work with him and he will be missed!

Bert, was a wonderful friend and Brother. He was always there when I needed him most, and now he is finally with the Lord and his body is complete and free of Pain. He will be sorely missed.

We thank God for the privilege we had way back in the 60's of meeting and serving with Bert and Peggy. His love for the Lord was contagious.  He could do and was willing to do anything.
