Antero D Pinto

February 04, 1930 – July 25, 2016

Antero Duarte Pinto of Livingston passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday July 25, 2016 at the age of 86. He is survived by his three sons; Luis Pinto and wife Sonia of Forestville, Valter and David Pinto both of Livingston. Three daughters; Carla Pinto-Edwards and fiancé David of Yelm, Washington, Sandra Harsh and Husband Jeff of Merced and Cynthia Pinto of Oakland. Grandchildren; Daniel Edwards, Luis Edwards, Lauren Edwards, Nicole Gurr, Meghon Pinto, Dillon Pinto, Genevieve Silva-Pinto, Logan Harsh and Mia Harsh. Sisters; Dalia Pinto of Portugal, Alcida Gomes of Portugal, Leonor Simoes and Dolores Joaquim of Livingston. Brothers; Eleuterio Pinto of Livingston, Alexandre Lamarao of Angola and Amilcer Pinto of Portugal. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Antero, who was known as Mr. Pinto, was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, godfather, and friend. Mr. Pinto always had a kind word for everyone he met, and will be deeply missed by the people who knew and loved him. He loved spending time with his family, and supporting his children and grandchildren in sports and other activities. He enjoyed reading at the Portuguese mass at Saint Jude’s Catholic Church in Livingston, dancing at Portuguese Festias, shopping at Flea Markets, drinking whiskey, going to the casinos with his brother and sisters, and making people, especially babies, smile.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary at 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service 286 W. Main St. Turlock, CA 95380

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St Jude Thaddeus Roman Church 330 Franci St, Livingston, CA 95334

Antero will be laid to rest at Winton Cemetery District 7651 Almond Ave, Winton, CA 95388
