Ben Gonzales "The Bandit" was a truck driver for over 50 years. His last 20 years of driving was for Walmart. He Sacrificed being away from his family 6 days a week. He was a BIG family man. He retired in 2015 and enjoyed harassing his wife because he loved getting under her skin. He was a big lover of judge shows. Judge Judy was his favorite. He was also a huge football fan, the 49ers was his team. One of his favorite pasttimes was talking football with his son, oldest son John, and his grandson Johnny. Ben loved all his family and friends. He has so many wonderful friends he made over the years and at Walmart. Ben met the love of his life, Cecilia, at the age of 10. Left to the Navy at 16, and came back and married his love, started and raised a family. Ben loved to travel in his older years with his brother Joe Gonzales to different places.
Ben was preceded in death by: father Jose R. Gonzales; mother Romona D. Gonzales; grandmother Alfonsa L. Lial; grandfather Jose Lial; brother Rev. Samuel Gonzales (Sarah);sister Elizabeth Barbosa (Ray); brother Steven Gonzales (Janice); and sister Sarah Gonzales.
Ben was surrounded by brothers and sisters. Roseanne Cordero (Robert); Joe Gonzales (Linda); Ramona Luis; Dave Gonzales (Susan); and Paul Gonzales (Mary).
He was also survived by many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. Also he had several nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
